Overview
Windlesham is a village in Surrey. Its name derives from the Windle Brook which runs south of the village into Chobham and the common suffix ‘ham’, the Old English word for ‘homestead’. The village has a thriving community in a rather remote location ironically next to the M3 and A30. With a history dating back to the bronze age and once within Windsor Great Forest. There are a number of great pubs and although classed as a commuter village it still holds a village feel.
Photography Suggestions
You will be able to view numerous large houses of different styles of architecture within the village along with a church and its Field of Remembrance which is owned, funded and run by the village community. Look out for some of the architectural details and don’t miss the mature trees dotted around the area.
