Photo Walk – Modern and Historic Boulters Lock on the River Thames

River Thames between Maidenhead and Bray. August 6 2019 - Photo Walk UK

Overview

This Photo Walk gives the opportunity to take in several areas of the River Thames near Maidenhead in Berkshire. Boulters Lock is a working lock and restaurant/pub. Nearby is the new development along the Thames which offer great opportunities for architectural photography. Footpaths along the Thames also soon enter large areas of protected riverside walks to take in the local nature. You can also take the opportunity to take a boat trip toward Bray.

Boat trips run most days and there are always plenty of boats on the river. As always people on boats are keen to wave and join in with life on the river.

Whether you want to capture river life, modern architecture, historic sites or local nature this area of the River Thames offers some wonderful photography opportunities. The area is also quite busy especially at weekends.
